Aims and ObjectivesMK Family Mediation Value Statement
Our purpose is to provide a mediation service for families involved in separation and divorce to enable them to reach joint informed decisions, giving priority to the needs of any children in the relationship. MK Family Mediation is a registered charity, number 294900. Our policy is to assist any parents, at any stage of the separating and divorce process, regardless of income. We are a not-for-profit organisation, and have recently registered as a Company Limited by Guarantee We have a contract with the Legal Services Commission (formally the Legal Aid Board). This enables us to offer legally aided mediation to those individuals financially eligible for publicly funded mediation. Charges for Mediation We are pledged to make mediation available to all regardless of ability to pay. However we must obviously cover our costs and remain financially viable. There is no charge for those entitled to Publicly Funded Mediation.
Children's Issues Only MK Family Mediation is affiliated to National Family Mediation. Both National Family Mediation and the Legal Services Commission set Quality Assurance standards against which we are regularly audited. |
