Children's Fund Support New Service

Last year saw an exciting development to help families in many areas of Milton Keynes when Relate Milton Keynes was awarded funding to expand its Family Counselling Service.

Relate Family Counselling is for families experiencing difficulties in their relationships with each other. All families have arguments sometimes and often these blow over, but sometimes they just get worse. Big changes in families can cause stress for everyone, long running disputes can cause pain to the whole family and problems one person is experiencing will often affect the whole family. Relate family counsellors are experienced relationship experts who have undergone additional training to work with families to help them resolve their problems.

Relate, Milton Keynes received funding from the Children’s Fund to expand this service and it is now well underway in growing the family counselling service to the Children’s Fund designated areas.

It is currently delivered at

• Family Centre – Greenleys
• Willows School – Fishermead
• Relate Centre – Wolverton
• Pepper Hill - Bradville North
• Moorlands Family Centre – Beanhill
• Langlands School – Netherfield
• The Cybernet Café – Central Bletchley
• Drayton Park Art Centre – Lakes Estate
